One big UI caveat, jumpy char-by-char playback = KILL IT WITH FIRE! Super-annoying, not able to be turned off. I wish there was an option to treat backedits just like above (borrowing neighbors' timestamps) so you could edit the inevitable iPad keyboard mess-ups in realtime without hosing your notes.
It makes navigating around the timeline very odd.
Speaking of which, be careful editing while recording-you can easily get your notes in non-chronological order by inserting new text inside old text. It does do the thing from desktop where new text has a time set between what's before and after, but it'll all be at the same time. You can't edit notes while playing back, so no way to insert more accurately timestamped text. May just be inexact location and work itself out on longer lectures.īummer that transcribe mode didn't make it in.
